Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)

In 2012, President Obama announced the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, which provides for work authorization and protection from deportation for certain undocumented immigrants who arrived in the United States as children.

In 2017, the current US government announced plans to end DACA, which was immediately challenged in the courts. The law regarding DACA changes frequently and quickly. If you currently have DACA and need to renew, it is important to consult a qualified immigration lawyer.
